Harp Seal Pup

Taken on an ice floe near the coast of Greenland.
This is a harp seal pup, and I'd estimate that it's younger than a week old. These cute little things stay with their mothers for about 2 weeks, during which it drinks as much milk as possible to get nice and fat. After that, their mother leaves for good, and the pup stays alone on the ice floe for another 2 weeks, changing their fur and getting ready to take their first bath.
